Sub-unit : On a cold...little house
Content overview : The story is about the experience of a little
boy who explored his surroundings to
find out a little round red house
Content analysis : The story begins on a cold, rainy and windy
Saturday in October. A little boy was bored. He went down to the kitchen where
his mother was reading a newspaper and told that he was bored. The mother asked
him to draw a picture with his new crayons, to read one of his new library
books and to play with his toys. The boy said that he did all these things a
number of times and now he was bored. Most of the time, mothers don’t like it
when their children say they are bored. They say that they were never bored
when they were children’s age. But that cannot be true. The little boy’s mother
said that she remember one day when she was his age and she was bored. Her
mother sent her out to search for the strangest little house. The boy was
interested. The mother asked the boy to put on his raincoat, hat, scarf,
mittens and boots. Then she asked him to go outside and look for the little
house.
